Giving and Asking Directions

You know how to ASK for directions, but what happens when an English speaker asks YOU for directions. This is not a time for small talk. Give only basic directions with short phrases. Do the best you can. Taken from!! :)

Several phrases that you might need to know when asking for directions:
  • Can you show me the way to Berjaya Times Square?
  • How do I get to the nearest Police Station?
  • Is this the right way to go to Dr. Gray Clinic?
  • Do you know how to get to Indah Mall?
Several phrases that you might need to know when giving directions:
  • Turn left or turn right
  • Go straight until you reach the T-junction
  • Take the first exit at the roundabout
  • You will see a Bank on your left
  • Take this road 
  • Go down there
